About Nepean Martial Arts

Meet the people behind Nepean Martial Arts

Dave Adlam

Master Instructor and Club Owner

Master Dave Adlam has been a martial arts practitioner for many years while pursuing a senior management career in the brick and paver industry. His early training was in Judo, and later in Taekwondo, training under Master Junte Kim and Master Andrew Johnston.

He opened his own club, Nepean Wolves Taekwondo in 2001. In 2008 he added a Korean sword martial art, Haidong Gumdo, to his school which was then training in 4 different locations from Eastern Creek to Glenmore Park, and the number of students continued to grow. In 2017 the school enrolled its one thousandth student.

In recent years Liu He Ba Fa, a blend of Tai Chi and Kung Fu, has also been added to the selection of martial arts offered to students, providing activities for all age groups and levels of ability.

In 2019 the school was re-named Nepean Martial Arts and it continues to go from strength to strength.

Dave is currently a 5th Dan Master in Taekwondo, a 4th Dan Master in Haidong Gumdo, and a Master in Liu He Ba Fa.

Dave’s philosophy:

To help our students take full responsibility for their actions in all situations, and to help them acquire the tools to fulfil their potential.
